Benefits of water in our body
Water is define as an organic chemical compound abundantly found on Earth. Each water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Pure water is odorless, tasteless, and almost colorless. Its common forms are liquid water, ice, and water vapor. In ecosystems, water occurs in creeks, rivers, lakes, reservoirs, oceans, and underground aquifer. It is present as water vapor in the atmosphere. In colder regions, water exists as snow, ice sheets, icebergs, I and glacier.Water is the liquid that descends from the cloud as rain,forms streams, lakes and seas and is a major constituent of all living matters.
In order for skin to look its best and most youthful, it is vital to remain well hydrated at all times. This means drinking lots of fresh,pure,cold water throughout the day.it doesn't have to be mineral water- water from the faucet will do just as well. Drinking water offers lots of other benefits too.
The type of water includes:
- Raw water is the type of water that has not undergo any treatment. It is found in natural sources and reserves, in surface and groundwater bodies.
- Black water are those water that has been polluted with faeces and urine.
- Soft water contains very small amounts of dissolved salt. It may be defined as water with less than 50 mg per litre of calcium carbonate
- Hard water has a high mineral content, particularly magnesium and calcium salts. It is also known as calcareous water.
- Salt water also known as seawater, found in the Earth's oceans and seas. It has a concentration of dissolved salts of about 3.5%.
- Fresh water is found naturally on the Earth's surface as ice, as water in wetlands, ponds, lakes, rivers and streams, and as groundwater in aquifers. It usually has a low concentration of dissolved salts and solids .
- Potable water or drinking water
is water fit for human consumption, which has undergone appropriate treatment and can be consumed without any risks. It is clean, transparent, has no unpleasant odour or taste and is free of any contaminants. - Distilled water is composed of H2O molecules having been purified or cleaned through distillation.
Importance of water
Water is the essence of human life. For a start,our bodies are made up if about 60 to 70 percent of water. Blood is most water and your muscles,lungs and brain all contain a lot of water. Your body needs water to regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients to travel to all your organs. Water also transports oxygen to the cells,removes waste and protect your joint and organs.Water is also necessary for daily domestic needs, such as drinking, cooking, and bathing. The agricultural sector uses large amounts of water in cultivation of crops and for food production. Industries need water for manufacturing processes, cleaning, cooling, and other applications.

We are all encouraged to drink a lot of water from an early age,but very few people form the habit of drinking it regularly. If we don't drink enough water, we become dehydrated which is bad for health and accelerates the aging process

- Drinking a healthy amount of water has also been found to reduce the risk of colon cancer 45 percent. Drinking a lot of water can also reduce the risk of bladder cancer by as much as 50 percent and can potentially reduce the risk of breast cancer
